Terms of Service

1. Who we are

TCS Web is a web development practice operated by Text Craft Studio. These Terms govern your use of web.textcraftstudio.com and the engagement between us and any client who commissions a project through the brief or by direct agreement.

2. Services we offer

Custom web design and development for small businesses, including:

  • Start package - $1,000 USD, up to 4 pages, live in 14 days.
  • Pro package - $3,000 USD, up to 10 pages, live in 30 days.
  • Add-ons: online store from $1,500, AI chatbot from $500, naming and logo discussed individually.

Each engagement is confirmed by an emailed quote referencing the brief and any agreed add-ons. The confirmed quote is the binding scope.

3. Pricing and payment

Pricing is fixed and stated upfront in the quote. We typically take a 50% deposit at engagement and 50% on launch, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Currency is US Dollars (USD).

4. What's included

Each package includes the items listed at the time of quote: design, copy, mobile responsiveness, basic SEO setup, and the relevant integrations. We provide:

  • Free unlimited revisions to the design at the prototype stage, before development begins.
  • Three rounds of revisions during and after development.
  • 14 days of free post-launch support.

5. Revisions, refunds, and approval

We approve the design with you before development. At that stage, changes are unlimited and free. Once development begins, the three included revision rounds apply. We do not issue cash refunds, but we will not deliver a site you have not approved. If we cannot reach approval, we will work with you in good faith on a wind-down or scope adjustment.

6. Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate brief information and timely feedback at each milestone.
  • Supply any third-party assets you require (existing logos, photography you own, account credentials for hosting/domain when applicable).
  • Ensure that any content you supply does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Intellectual property

On full payment, you receive a perpetual, worldwide license (or, where stated in the quote, full transfer of ownership) to the website design and copy we deliver, for use in your business. We retain the right to display the finished work in our own portfolio, including on this site, unless you ask us in writing not to.

We retain ownership of underlying tools, frameworks, and reusable code components.

8. Third-party services

Some projects use third-party platforms (Tilda, Webflow, WordPress, Formspree, Google Fonts, etc.). Use of those platforms is subject to their own terms, and any platform fees (subscriptions, hosting) are separate from our quote unless stated otherwise.

9. Post-launch support

14 days of free support immediately after launch. After that, you can subscribe to a $150/month plan that covers one update per month, or pay per change at our published rates. Renewals and cancellations are by simple written notice.

10. Confidentiality

We treat your business and project information as confidential and do not share it with third parties except as needed to deliver the project (e.g. with platform providers).

11. Limitation of liability

We aim to deliver work of professional quality, but to the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages.

12. Termination

Either side may terminate an engagement in writing if the other materially breaches these Terms and does not cure the breach within 14 days of notice. On termination, you pay for the work delivered up to that point, and we hand over the materials produced.

13. Governing law

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, these Terms and any engagement are governed by the laws of the operating jurisdiction of Text Craft Studio. Disputes will first be addressed by good-faith discussion; if not resolved, by the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For ongoing engagements, the Terms in force at the time of your quote apply.
